WELCOME

On behalf of the Organizing Committee it is our pleasure to invite you to participate in the 5th International Technology Transfer Conference, which will be held in Ljubljana, Slovenia on the 26 and 27 September 2012. The conference is organized by the Jožef Stefan Institute in cooperation with TechnoCenter at the University of Maribor, the Slovenian Technology Agency, National Institute of Chemistry and the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Štajerska.

AIM

The Conference is subdivided into two days.

The 1st day
of the conference is dedicated to:

-    presentation of knowledge transfer and trans-border collaboration in EU
-    innovation in foreign markets
-    intelectual property rights
-    spin-off business development and preparing for the investment.

The emphasis of the spin-off business development is the workshop on pitching venture capital. Researchers and future entrepreneurs will present their business propositions in front of the commission constituted from the investors and technology commercialization experts.
 
The commission members will evaluate the commercial potential of the presented innovative technologies and select the prize winners.

A Special prize for INOVATIONS FOR ECONOMY will be given. You can find more informations  here.

 The 2nd day of the conference is designated to workshop on project preparation (impact, market need and co-financing possibilities of RD project).

B2B & B2Research meetings (registration)

Registration for meetings with researchers from Jozef Stefan Institute and National institute of chemistry

Registration for meetings with business consultants from Croatia, Serbia, Montenegro and Macedonia


CALL FOR PAPERS - POSTER SECTION


We invite all researchers from PROs (Public Research Organizations), authors of inventive and innovative technologies which with their applicable value are interesting and useful to the economy, to present their papers in the form of abstract and poster. 

Contributed papers will be organized in poster section.

Conference proceedings
All abstracts and posters of sufficient quality will be published at the International Conference proceedings as ISBN/ISSN publication and promoted at the conference website and (if agreed by the authors and organizers) at the Enterprise Europe Network (EEN) in the form of technology offer. The submission of the technology offer at the EEN is free of cost.

Paper submission should be done by email: tehnologije@ijs.si.

The participation at the conference is free – there is no registration fee!

IMPORTANT DATES - CALL FOR PAPERS

-    September 10, 2012: Final poster and abstract submission deadline.
-    September 12, 2012: Paper acceptance notification and review process notification.
-    September 18, 2012: Deadline for final versions of accepted papers.
-    September 26 & September 27, 2012: Poster section at the Conference.

The 1st prize FOR BEST INVENTIVE/INNOVATIVE PROJECTS FROM PRO's FOR THE ECONOMY has been distributed equally among two participants:

Dr. Aleš Hribar, prof. dr. Matjaž Mihelj from Laboratory of robotics at the Faculty of electrical engineering, University of Ljubljana for the innovation called BiMeo - an innovative rehabilitation instrument

and

doc. dr. Ivan Jerman, prof. dr. Boris Orel, dr. Matjaž Koželj and Mr. Mohor Mihelčič for their innovation called »Go solar, go future« - a sol-gel based spectrally selective solar absorber coatings.
