Title: Method for Electrosynthesis of Silver Salts (II), Method for Synthesis of Silver Salts (II) Hydrates and Products Obtained by this Method
Description: The subject of the application is a method of electrochemical synthesis of high-purity silver(II) salts, which is characterized by the electrolysis of silver(I) salts or silver(I) hydrosalts in a solution of an acid containing the same anion as the electrolyzed salt, preferably an inorganic oxanion or an inorganic oxofluoroanion of a non-metal at a high degree of oxidation, preferably a non-metal such as C(IV), N(V), P(V), S(VI), Se(VI), Te(VI), Cl(VII), Br(VII), I(VII). During electrolysis, a concentrated solution of the acid is used, preferably a solution with a concentration above 80%, preferably a solution with a concentration higher than or equal to 95%, with the permissible contamination of the acid being water, anhydride of this acid or another solvent forming solutions of the appropriate silver(I) salt and this acid, possibly with the addition of an electrolyte. The notification also covers products obtained by this method and the method of synthesis of high-purity silver(II) salt hydrates and products obtained by this method.
