10. ITTC CONFERENCE SUCCESSFULLY CONCLUDED

10th International technology transfer conference – 10.ITTC, organized by the Center for Technology Transfer and Innovation at the Jožef Stefan Institute, was successfully concluded with presenting of the awards to the winners of the best innovation from the Public research organizations in 2017. The prize of EUR 2,500 for the best innovation was awarded to Luka Suhadolnik and Prof. Dr. Miran Čeh and their team from the Department of Nanostructured Materials at the IJS, for their solution "PurAir". The conference was attended by more than 100 visitors who had the opportunity to listen to excellent lectures. Parallel to the conference, a record number of pre-planned bilateral meetings between businesses and researchers B2R (business-to-research) were carried out. A total of 60 meetings were conducted among 45 researchers and entrepreneurs from Slovenia and the EU countries. Center for Technology Transfer and Innovation at the Jožef Stefan Institute would like to take this opportunity and thank the Department of Intelligent Systems at the Jožef Stefan Institute, the main organizer of the Multiconference Information Society 2017 and the entire organizational committee. KETGATE REGIONAL WORKSHOP

  In the frame of ITTC Conference a regional workshop within the Interreg Central Europe project KETGATE was successfully carried out. More than 30 people joined the lecture of Krystian Gurba who introduced Polish innovation ecosystem, presentation of innovation ideas in Slovenian research area and round table, where it was disussed how to support innovators in PROs and how to offer SMEs use of infrastructure and key enabling technologies in PROs.   banner  

INNOVATION PITFALLS AND SUCCESS STORIES

Between 25th of September and 13th of October 2017, Center for Technology Transfer and Innovation at the Jožef Stefan Institute will, in the scope of the Information Society 2017 multiconference, organize the 10th International Technology Transfer Conference. This year's conference will tackle the following issues:
  • Research and innovation for Europe
  • Responsible research and innovation (concepts, good practices, experiences)
  • How to include society into research and innovation planning?

CONFERENCE PRIZE FOR THE BEST INNOVATIONS IN 2017

At the conference, a special prize for innovations from public research organizations will be awarded. The emphasis of the competition is on presentation of business propositions in front of the evaluation commission, which is constituted of investors and technology commercialization experts. The commission members will evaluate the commercial potential of the presented innovative technologies and will award the technology with the highest commercial potential a monetary prize in the amount of 2500 EUR!    Participate

INTERNATIONAL BROKERAGE EVENT: R2B MEETINGS

In the course of the conference, pre-scheduled R2B (Research-to-Business) meetings will take place, allowing the representatives of companies and research institutions to discuss possible development solutions, inventions and commercially interesting technologies. Such meetings present an excellent basis for possible future research cooperation and business synergies. Last year, more than 150 researchers, business executives and entrepreneurs attended the partnering event.
