OBJECTIVES

The first day of the conference (26 September 2012 at Jozef Stefan Institute):

Presentation of knowledge transfer in EU according to the "European Knowledge and Technology Transfer Practice Survey 2011", the second in a series of surveys commissioned by the DG Research & Innovation of the European Commission.

Building synergies in trans-border collaboration in Europe and beyond.

Brokerage events will provide technology and commercial matchmaking for the regional SME's and research organizations with the support of the Enterprise Europe network.

Workshop on spin-offing will focus on presentation and selection of the best innovative projects with business proposition in the form of creating spin-out companies or licensing out the technologies. One of the main objectives is promoting the entrepreneurship possibilities and good practices in the public research organizations.

 
The second day of the conference (27 September 2012 at National institute of Chemistry):

The second day of the conference is dedicated to workshop on project preparation (impact, market need and co-financing possibilities of RD project).

KEY STAKEHOLDERS

The Conference will involve different key stakeholders in the process (Public Research Organizations as a knowledge and Technology Parks as an infrastructure providers), agencies, consultants, capital (VC, agencies, angels), SME's, international enterprises, private innovators, etc.

The target audience of the conference are researchers, students and post-graduate students with entrepreneural ambitions, established and future entrepreneurs, innovators and also representatives from governmental institutions and policy making organizations.

The special focus of the 5th International Technology Transfer Conference is oriented toward SMEs seeking technological and commercial collaboration with researchers and other SMEs in region with the support of the Enterprise Europe network.
