The Jožef Stefan Institute performs various events, guided tours of the Institute and participates in European projects in order to promote science, research and experimental work among young people.
Through the participation in the SKOZ project, the Jožef Stefan Institute provides mentoring for the research projects of secondary school students. Students are curious, gifted, innovative and also committed. There are many things school can offer them, but contact with real science, professional laboratories, and mentors who are dedicated to science can only be provided through cooperation with scientific institutions.
Within the SKOZ project, a limited number of mentorships is offered to gifted pupils of mainly western Slovenian region outside Ljubljana. Of course, students from Central Slovenia are not excluded.
