The Jožef Stefan Institute performs various events, guided tours of the Institute and participates in European projects in order to promote science, research and experimental work among young people.
Jožef Stefan Institute provides mentoring for the research projects of secondary school students. Students are curious, gifted, innovative and also committed. There are many things school can offer them, but contact with real science, professional laboratories, and mentors who are dedicated to science can only be provided through cooperation with scientific institutions.

SKOZ, successfully completed project – mentorships for gifted pupils
Within the SKOZ project, successfully completed project, a limited number of mentorships were offered to gifted pupils of mainly western Slovenian region outside Ljubljana. Of course, students from Central Slovenia were not excluded
