Center for Technology Transfer and Innovation at the Jožef Stefan Institute acts as a financially independent unit within the Jožef Stefan Institute.
Primary task of the Center for Technology Transfer and Innovation is enabling and facilitating the transfer of technologies and innovations developed at the Jožef Stefan Institute into business.
Further, we are active in the fields of education and popularization of science amongst the young.
We offer a wide array of services to the researchers of Jožef Stefan Institute, spanning from the help with execution of key activities in the field of IP protection and marketing to facilitating and accelerating the collaboration with business entities. Additionally, we offer support in choosing and applying to national and European public calls.
In case you wish to establish your own company, need help with protection and marketing of intellectual property or with the execution of procedures for acquisition of employment-related inventions at JSI, are looking for support in choosing the right public call, finding project partners or preparing a project proposal, contact us and we will gladly help you.
Using knowledge developed at Jožef Stefan Institute, we wish – in collaboration with business entities – to help Slovenian and global society in the overall progress, while the introduction of new innovative technologies benefits also the companies as such.

Popularization of science is achieved through organization of various events and activities that offer groups and individiual an insight into the scientific work of Jožef Stefan Institute’s researchers.
Additionally, we organize lectures covering different fields of our expertise and, every year, the International technology transfer conference with distinguished speakers from home and abroad.
We prepare various notifications and content for research, business and the general public on technology transfer, intellectual property protection, opportunities for cooperation, popularization of science and others.
