Method for Manufacturing Hybrid Binder-Free Electrodes for Electrochemical Supercapacitors |
Description: |
The invention concerns methods for manufacturing hybrid binder-free electrodes for electrochemical energy storage devices, preferably for electrochemical supercapacitors, said hybrid binder-free electrodes consisting of a conductive metal substrate and carbon nanotubes produced directly on the conductive metal substrate, wherein each carbon nanotube has only one single-crystal metal nanoparticle positioned at its tip with a metal nitride layer, and optionally a metal sulphide layer on top. The invention further relates to the use of the hybrid binder-free electrodes produce by the methods as or in an electrode for an electrochemical supercapacitor for energy storage devices or as or in an electrode for an electrochemical supercapacitor for high-frequency line filtering applications. |
